We are looking for an Assistant Manager to help the Branch Manager lead the team at our Petersfield Branch. You will need to work with the Branch Manager to drive the branch forward and always provide outstanding customer service! Our Assistant Managers are strong and inspiring individuals who can lead the team in the absence of the Branch Manager.

You will need to have the ability to work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday between 7am – 5pm.

IMPORTANT – As part of our recruitment & selection policy candidates are required to bring ONE of the following documents to interview:

EU or UK Passport or Birth Certificate or and of the following: Certificate of Registration, a Biometric Residence Permit, and/or immigration documents issued by the Home Office

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Branch administration
  • Controlling stock
  • Updating merchandise
  • General warehousing
  • Serving customers on the trade counter and answering the phone
  • Supporting the management of the team through training and development
  • Winning new business through marketing
  • Building relationships with suppliers and reps
  • Ensuring the banking is completed regularly

To be successful, you will have the following experience and personal attributes:

  • Industry knowledge is advantageous

Hours   08:30 – 17:00  Monday – Friday

Salary   £22,000 – £25,000 PA       D.O.E
